Board of Trustees

A board of trustees appointed by the County Board of Supervisors act as the governing body for cemetery districts. Trustees are granted powers to own, operate, improve and maintain cemeteries as well as provide interment services within its boundaries.  Each trustee serves a 4 year term. The trustees receive no compensation for serving on the board.

Board meetings are held every other month on the first Wednesday at 9:00 am. The trustees meet in the garage at the cemetery, 12020 County Road 98, Yolo, CA.

• Mark Mezger, Sr.  (President)

• Bryan Barrios
  Appointed 1/15/2019
  Term expires: 1/2/2027
  Bryan has lived in the district since 1984. Bryan is a 3rd generation farmer in the area and currently President of Barrios Farms Inc. 

• Bill Hatcher
  Appointed 9/10/2019
  Term expires: 1/2/2027

• Steve Weiss
  Appointed 3/9/2021
  Term expires: 1/1/2029
  Steve was born and raised in the Yolo area. He is employed as Ranch Manager for Pacific Coast Producers in Woodland and farms on the side. As well as serving an the Mary’s Cemetery Board, he is Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of Yolo Fire Protection District. 

• Mary (Kitty) Schlosser
  Appointed 3/9/2021
  Term expires: 1/1/2029
  Kitty has lived in the district since 1979. She worked for Northrup-King Seed Company, USDA, and then 25 years at UC Davis, retiring in 2012. She enjoys playing tennis and golf; spends free time quilting.
